question about DeathBringer and armor penetration
Please answer this
1. Why are so many people farming for deathbringer. I see a lot of spam in chat like "LFP deathbringer". There are so many better scythes and that -10 armor mod from deathbringer sucks. Someone explain whats so good about it. 2. How does armor penetration work? If I have a 20/20 AP mod than 1 of 5 attacks does bonus dmg? And how does AP work against several foes? Does it affect only the primary or if u hit 3 foes activates for all 3? |

1. It's easy to farm, simple as that.
2. The only time I've noticed the armor penatration was when I used an attack skill. I have never liked sundering, but it probably is useful in certain situations. |

1. yup, farming is easy.
2. Funny thing with the 20/20 mod for armor penetration, it seems to be a 20% chance per mob hit...so, if you hit 3 mobs at the same time, each has a 20% chance to have their armor penetrated...purely observational, as I have noticed fluctuations in damage vary with a single hit....three of the same mobs taking 3 different amounts of damage with one hit....assumed that it was combination of critical hit and the 20/20 mod...Looking around guildwiki isn't much help in the matter, take a look though, maybe you'll have better luck than I did. |

1. Easy
2. Wierd! It applies to each one like raven said. I think they should make a mod for ALL weapons so they have a chance of doing area dmg like a scythe. |

If sundering applyes to 3 foes at once than it must be one of the best mods for scythes.
And about deathbringer: Why farm for a crapy scythe just cause is easy to farm? Probably many players think that -10 armor applyes to ur target and not to them. I've seen someone who told me this so it must be true for some players. And why not farm for a better scythe even if it's harder? |

Don't vamp/zealous apply to all 3 foes at once? So, sundering should apply too.
Deathbringer is a bad scythe to begin with, i guess green promote the status of deathbringer. The impression of all greens are good. |

As for the Deathbringer, when I first saw it(on a list of unique scythes off wiki when NF came out) I immediately discounted it. Truth is, the first time I klilled Dabineh was about 2 weeks ago when I finally capped Reaper's Sweep.(was and still is using Wounding Strike) If you want a better Scythe to farm, go for Eshekibeh's Scythe in the Vehjin Mines from Marobeh Sharptail, who also has the Elite Skill, Wouning Strike. It is 5/1 Vampiric, 15% while enchanted and hp+30 and it has a nice looking skin.
I believe Sundering does apply to all hits because when you attack with the Scythe, it is considered one attack and the bonus for it is that it hits 2 foes adjacent to your target. My proof is that when attacking as a Dervish with Empathy on you, it only triggers once. For Damage, Vampiric does more damage, on average, than sundering in all cases(maybe not hammer). |
